Sierra Averill moved to center forward and made a brilliant run but unfortunately her breakaway shot was saved by a great keeper play. Late in the game the Lightning really picked up the intensity. Kara Connolly sprinted back several times to thwart Blackhawk breakaways and MJ and Tess battled at the sideline to keep the Blackhawks at bay.
